The natural wealth of Mendono Village, Kintom District, Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi, encouraged Students of UGM Students Community Services (KKN) – Sangalu Banggai to explore tourism potential that is still largely unknown to the wider community. One such potential is the Mendono River Waterfall, better known to locals as Molang Waterfall.

The distribution of MSMEs in Buluharjo Village illustrates the micro, small, and medium business activities that are developing in various areas of the village, including the hamlets of Dele, Banyuputih, Maron, Pait, and Widoro. The existing MSMEs are independently managed by the community and play an important role in supporting the village economy. The diversity of business types shows the growing local potential and contributes to the welfare of the residents.

Teodora Septina Sambarana, a student of the Archaeology Study Program at Universitas Gadjah Mada who is currently conducting Students Community Services (KKN) in Sapuran Village, Wonosobo Regency. She was proposed the application of garbology studies to reveal patterns of community behavior related to waste management. This approach views waste as contemporary artifacts that accurately reflect consumption habits.

Students of UGM Students Community Services (KKN) Gemercik Belik took concrete action to preserve the environment by planting dozens of trees in the Mendelem Hill area, Mendelem Village, on Sunday, January 4, 2026. This activity was a collaboration between KKN and local environmental activists.

Saturday, January 31, 2026, Students of UGM Students Community Services (KKN) Renjana Rembang delivered its final educational outreach program, Bina Literasi Numerasi Anak (BISA), as well as a farewell to the students and teachers of SDN Criwik.

Criwik Village is one of the villages in the mountains below the slopes of Mount Argopuro, where most of its natural resources consist of forest products, fruit plantations, and spices.
Students of UGM Students Community Services (KKN) conducted field studies in Criwik Village continue to mingle with the Criwik community to improve and explore the village’s potential to generate greater economic value. Located at the Criwik Village Hall, the UGM KKN Team, Renjana Rembang Unit, conducted a socialization program and demonstrated the use of a drying box for spices to members of the Criwik Village Women Farmers Group (KWT) on Friday, January 30, 2026.

Students of UGM Students Community Services (KKN) Renjana Rembang conducted a socialization program on the production of insect repellent spray (SERASA) for Jumantik (Mosquito Larva Monitor) cadres. The SERASA production was carried out on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Criwik Village Hall.

Students of UGM Students Community Services from the Sambirejo unit in Sragen invited elementary school students to participate in Clean and Healthy Living (PHBS) activities through a hand washing and tooth brushing campaign at SDN Sukorejo on January 8, 2026 and SDN 3 Jambeyan on January 16, 2026. This movement was carried out as an effort to raise students’ awareness of the importance of maintaining cleanliness and health from an early age. The hand washing and tooth brushing activities were carried out in collaboration with the Sambirejo District Health Center, with Dr. Rofi as the guest speaker. The students received direct education on how to brush their teeth properly and the steps for washing their hands in accordance with WHO recommendations. This activity also supports sustainable development (SDGs 3: Good Health and Well-being, and SDGs 4: Quality Education).
