8,178 students from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) are currently taking part in a Community Service Program known as KKN. They’ve been spread across 298 locations in 32 provinces throughout Indonesia, in a program designed to show, in real terms, how universities play a direct role in community development. Gadjah Mada University (UGM), through a community service program led by Dr. Rudy Wiratama, S.IP., M.A., from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), is implementing a program titled “Preservation and Conservation of the “Tatah Sungging Wayang Kulit” Tradition in the Tourist Village of Butuh, Sidowarno, Wonosari, Klaten, through Capacity Building for Artisans and an Exhibition of the Community’s Signature Products.” This program is a collaborative effort to strengthen the sustainability of the Tatah Sungging tradition while enhancing the community’s economic value based on local cultural potential. Kitchen waste now has great value in the hands of residents of Sumberagung Hamlet, Rejoagung Village, Srono Subdistrict, Banyuwangi. On Monday (June 29, 2026), women from the PKK (Family Welfare Movement) of Dasawisma Kesemek 1 enthusiastically participated in a workshop on making organic fertilizer from eggshell waste alongside the Serona Srono Community Service Program (KKN) team from Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta. A total of 28 students from Gadjah Mada University, who are members of the UGM Manapak Mamuju 2026 KKN-PPM Team, are currently carrying out a community service program on the western coast of Sulawesi Island, specifically in Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi Province. Now in the third week of the KKN program, the students have implemented various community empowerment programs at two service locations: Sumare Village and Tapandullu Village. The Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA), in collaboration with the 2026 UGM KKN-PPM students from Mentari Kintamani, organized a program featuring rabies vaccinations, animal sterilization, and animal welfare education in Batur Tengah Village, Kintamani Subdistrict, Bangli Regency, throughout July 2026.

The Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA), in collaboration with the 2026 UGM KKN-PPM students from Mentari Kintamani, is organizing a program featuring rabies vaccinations, animal sterilization, and animal welfare education in Batur Tengah Village, Kintamani Subdistrict, Bangli Regency, throughout July 2026. This program targeted five banjars in Batur Tengah Village. Specifically, activities will begin in Banjar Tanda Tribuana on July 3, followed by Banjar Bubung Kelambu on July 7, Banjar Batur Kota on July 15, Banjar Batur Tengah on July 17, and will conclude in Banjar Talemba on July 22, 2026.
