Yogyakarta, June 19, 2026 – Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) officially launched the Community Service Program – *Kuliah Kerja Nyata-Pembelajaran Pemberdayaan Masyarakat* (KKN-PPM) for Period II of 2026 at Pancasila Field, UGM. The event marked the commencement of a 50-day community engagement program that will run from June 20 to August 8, 2026, across various regions of Indonesia.

The Directorate of Community Service of Universitas Gadjah Mada (DPkM UGM) continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the organization of the 37th UMKM Class Series. Held at the Integrated Business Service Center (PLUT) Building in Kulon Progo Regency, the program was conducted in collaboration with the Kulon Progo Office of Industry, Cooperatives, and MSMEs (DisperinkopUKM) under the theme “MSME Governance and Marketing Strategies.”
Yogyakarta — Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), through the Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) Yogyakarta, Directorate of Community Service, has established an international collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) in a program titled Networking for Innovative, Cultural & Sustainability. Held from April 18–24, 2026, the program represents a concrete effort to strengthen international cooperation in the fields of culture, sustainable development, and community engagement.
Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), through its Directorate of Community Service (DPkM), conducted a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) program for the Community Service and Community Empowerment Learning Program (KKN-PPM) Period 1 of 2026, while also discussing the implementation of KKN-PPM Period 2 of 2026 in Paliyan District, Gunungkidul Regency, on May 22, 2026.
UGM students participating in the Community Service Program – Community Empowerment Learning (KKN-PPM) under the Windusari Unit organized an educational program on dairy farming and feed management for residents of Ngemplak Village, Windusari District, Magelang Regency, on January 15. Held at the Ngemplak Village Hall, the program was conducted in collaboration with the Magelang Regency Livestock and Fisheries Office (Dispeterikan) to introduce the government’s Dairy Cattle Program and promote proper livestock feed management. The initiative aims to improve the quality and productivity of dairy milk production. By optimizing feed management practices, the program also supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2: Zero Hunger and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has once again reaffirmed its commitment to community service by deploying students participating in the Community Service Program – Community Empowerment Learning (KKN-PPM) Disaster Response Program to Aceh Province. The program is being implemented in two disaster-affected areas, Pidie Jaya Regency and North Aceh Regency, as part of efforts to accelerate post-disaster recovery.
The Directorate of Community Service (DPkM) of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) organized a Coordination, Training, and Capacity-Building Program for the Community Service Program – Community Empowerment Learning (KKN-PPM) at Multimedia Room I, UGM Main Office Building, on November 7. The program was designed to equip Field Supervisors (Dosen Pembimbing Lapangan/DPL) and prospective KKN students with a comprehensive understanding of disaster risk mitigation, climate change adaptation, and the implementation of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) principles throughout KKN activities.
Yogyakarta, September 20, 2025 – The Directorate of Community Service (DPkM) of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), in collaboration with RCE Yogyakarta, organized a coaching session titled “Leading with Impact: Learning from Grassroots Leadership” on Saturday (September 20) at Meeting Room 1, DPkM UGM. The event featured two speakers, Totok Pratopo, Chairperson of Pemerti Kali Code, and Atrida Hadianti, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., Coordinator of RCE Yogyakarta. The session was hosted and moderated by Farah Raihanah.
The Disaster Response Unit (DERU) of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) distributed food assistance packages to residents affected by a tornado in Penggung Hamlet, Jambukulon Village, Ceper District, Klaten Regency, Central Java, on February 25, 2025. The food aid packages, coordinated by Destina Kawanti, S.IP., M.A., were officially handed over to the Head of Jambukulon Village and witnessed by the Head of Ceper District, Supardiyono, S.IP., M.Si.
The Tanara Serang Festival 2024 was held at the Serang Regent’s Office Courtyard on August 12, 2024. The event marked an important milestone in celebrating a decade of regional development progress and served as part of a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening the local economy by promoting religious tourism in Serang Regency, particularly in Tanara. The festival was organized by students of the Community Service and Community Empowerment Learning Program (KKN-PPM) of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Period 2 of 2024, in collaboration with the local government and community members.
