The MSME Allisha Gesang Sejahtera is located in Kebumen, Central Java, and operates as a personal limited liability company (PT). This UMKM was founded in 2017 by Titin Agustinah that produces satay ambal, rica entog, spicy duck with black seasoning, and beef rendang. Meanwhile, its flagship product is packaged satay ambal, which is made primarily of chicken. This private business already has a Business Permit Number (NIB). Besides that, all product variants have the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM) domestic distribution permit certificate and a Halal certificate from LPPOM MUI. Moreover, Sate Ambal also has passed the test for its heat adequacy by the BPOM (F0).
Allisha Gesang Sejahtera has joined Directorate of Community Services (DOCS) UGM’s mentorship since 2017 in the MSME National Business Meeting I. In 2018, DOCS UGM provided initial assistance through the Appropriate Technology scheme to improve production and packaging processes. This SME has the first innovative product in Indonesia of package Sate Ambal with a storage period of up to 6 months. Allisha UKM has several production sites, including Kebumen and Semarang and will open a new one in Jakarta in September 2022. The production capacity of Sate Ambal with the existing packaging is 2,000 packs per month for the Kebumen site and 10,000 packs for the Semarang site. The packaged Sate Ambal is available on e-commerce and various national retailers. It’s also been distributed to several countries including Singapore, Belgium, America, Malaysia, and Taiwan through the diaspora and the Indonesian Embassy.
Titin Agustinah’s accomplishments as a successful SME player are recognized both nationally and internationally. This is proved by her selection to be one of Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education’s 10 Most Innovative Women (2018), as the recipient of Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Grant for a Technology-Based Start-up Company (2018-2019), the winner of the National Food SME Award for the Regional Specialty Food Category from the Ministry of Trade (2019), which was selected to represent Indonesia at the ASEAN level, the 25 best Indonesian Food Startups from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (2020), the 15 best national Indonesian Food Innovations from the Ministry of Industry (2020), the 15 national best Proud Indonesian made from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, and the top 10 Womanpreneur Leaders from the Pertamina foundation (2020) .
This encourages Titin Agustinah to expect assistance and facilitation from DOCS UGM in the application of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Indonesian National Standard (SNI) certifications to make their products more open in entering the international market. In this regard, DOCS UGM collaborates with the National Standardization Agency (BSN) to provide assistance and facilitation in the application of HACCP and SNI certifications. Nur Hidayati, S.Si., M.Sc., the Standardization Analyst of Associate Expert as Coordinator of Substance Group for Facilitation of Business Actors and Nandaroose Rucky Prasetyaning Galih, S.TP. as the First Expert Standardization Analyst of the BSN team as well as DOCS UGM agreed to assist Allisha Gesang Sejahtera for the HACCP and SNI application. This SME will expand its operations by opening a branch at SMESCO Jakarta in September 2022. Meanwhile, BSN will always assist its SNI application until it is certified.(wdd/22)
