Directorate Community Service (DPKM) UGM held a training activity of ICT-based strategies to strengthen SMEs. This event was held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 held at the Directorate of Systems and Information Resources (DSSDI) UGM. On this occasion, Prof. Irfan Dwija Prijambada as Director DPKM UGM disclose this activity aims to provide technical skills provision for offenders SMEs mnenjadi trained partners DPKM UGM through ICT-based marketing strategies so that their products can compete with the broader market.
Currently the products continues bergeliat and growing SMEs, and even some types of products is growing very rapidly in accordance with market demand trends. This excellent opportunity is proper attention of the MSMEs and also the parties that have an interest in this case. On the other hand, the market is more open, including for the MSME market.

Saat ini produk UMKM terus bergeliat dan berkembang, bahkan beberapa jenis produknya berkembang sangat pesat sesuai dengan tren permintaan pasar. Peluang yang sangat baik ini sudah selayaknya mendapat perhatian dari para pelaku UMKM dan juga pihak-pihak yang mempunyai kepentingan terhadap hal ini. Pada sisi lain, pasar sudah semakin terbuka, termasuk juga untuk pasar produk UMKM.
RCE Yogyakarta as the host of 10th Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development (RCEs on ESD)conducted Forum Group Discussion and Socialization of the Global RCE Conference. Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development (RCEs on ESD) is a regional network of existing institutions and individuals, committed to using education and learning as tools for building a sustainable future. FGD and Socialization was held on Friday, August 26th 2016 Multi media room, UGM main building. The opening and first speaker was Prof. Dr. Suratman as Vice Rector for Research and Community Services explained about strategies for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) or Sustainable Development. “RCE Yogyakarta is one of network RCE in Indonesia which is based in Yogyakarta. The RCE Yogyakarta will be the host of the conference which will be conducted on November 23 – 25th 2016” said Dr. Puji Astuti, M.Sc., Apt. In addition, Zinaida Fadeeva from United Nation University – Institute for The Advanced Study of Sustainability explained about RCE and its contributions for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this event re-commitment of ESD expert in Yogyakarta from stakeholders involving government, higher education and NGOs was established. Prof. Suratman said that by gathering, sharing information and socialization, the community will have strong collaboration and partnership in promoting ESD in supporting sustainable future.
Yogyakarta sebagai tuan rumah konferensi Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development (RCEs on ESD) yang ke-10 menggelar acara Sarasehan dan Sosialisasi Global RCE Conference. RCEs on ESD sendiri adalah network regional yang terdiri dari institusi baik formal maupun non formal dan individu yang berkomitmen bersama, melalui pendidikan dan pembelajaran untuk membangun masa depan berkelanjutan. Acara yang berlangsung pada hari Jumat, 26 Agustus 2016 di Ruang Multimedia, Gedung Pusat UGM ini dibuka dengan pemberian penjelasan tentang Strategi pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) atau Pembangunan Berkelanjutan oleh Prof. Dr. Suratman selaku Wakil rektor bidang Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat UGM. “RCE Yogyakarta merupakan salah satu network RCE di Indonesia yang berbasis di Yogyakarta dan sekitarnya yang akan menjadi tuan rumah konferensi pada tanggal 23 – 25 November 2016” jelas Dr. Puji Astuti, M.Sc., Apt. Sementara itu, Zinaida Fadeeva dari United Nation University – Institute for The Advanced Study of Sustainability memberikan penjelasan tentang RCE dan kontribusinya dalam pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Acara dilanjutkan dengan pernyataaan komitmen bersama para penggiat ESD untuk mendukung pencapain SGDs yang diwakili oleh instansi pemerintah, perguruan tinggi dan LSM di Yogyakarta. Prof. Suratman menambahkan bahwa Sarasehan dan Sosialisasi ini dapat menambahkan rasa gotong-royong terutama perwakilan RCE Yogyakarta untuk penanganan dan pembangunan berkelanjutan yang lebih baik. Acara ini ditutup dengan berfoto bersama peserta Sarasehan.
Direktorat Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (DPKM) UGM kembali menggelar kegiatan pelatihan strategi penguatan UMKM berbasis ICT. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan pada Rabu tanggal 24 Agustus 2016 bertempat di Direktorat Sistem dan Sumber Daya Informasi (DSSDI) UGM. Dalam kesempatan ini, Prof. Irfan Dwija Prijambada selaku Direktur DPKM UGM mengungkapkan kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberi bekal keterampilan teknis bagi para pelaku UMKM yang mnenjadi mitra binaan DPKM UGM melalui strategi pemasaran berbasis ICT agar produk mereka mampu bersaing dengan pasar yang lebih luas.
Team Monev KKN UGM diterima Asisten Bupati Lampung Timur di Kantor Bupati (5 Agustus 2016). Pada kesempatan tersebut Asisten Bupati menyampaikan terimakasihnya, Labuhan Maringgai telah menjadi lokasi KKN PPM UGM. Kabid Peternakan juga melaporkan program-program yang telah dilaksanakan oleh Mahasiswa KKN UGM. Tahun depan berharap program KKN-UGM tetap dilanjutkan di Kab. Lampung Timur.
